Contract Administrator

Summary

Nimbis Services, Inc. is growing, and we are looking for a part time or full time Contract Administrator (30-40 hours) to work from our office in Northern VA, Bowie, MD or Scottsdale, AZ. The contract administrator will provide administrative control and support on our prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders and any other applicable agreements.  This position will also assist in the drafting of proposals for Government and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and enjoy problem solving and analysis.

 

What You'll Do

  1.  Handle active contracts and all contract administration communication with customers, subs, and consultants.
  2.  Serve as a point of contact for customers and subs.
  3.  Process contract and subcontract modifications and update contract summaries and briefs.
  4.  Ensure contract requirements are met and coordinate issue resolution with customers and subs.
  5.  Maintain a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and ensure FAR compliance in the administration of contracts and compliance with FAR reporting requirements.
  6. Review, evaluate, and draft various types of contract related documents such as prime and subcontract documents, vendor agreements, consultant agreements, proposals, award documents, Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s), modifications, task orders, etc.
  7. Maintain centralized contract files in accordance with all required regulations and support all government mandated contractual reporting requirements.
  8. Coordinate with accounting in overseeing contract and task order funding and administering contract invoicing and payments, job cost management, contract audit/filing, and proper contract closeout.
  9. Assist with audits and review of contracts and responding to data calls.
  10. Establish and maintain good relationships with Government and Commercial customers as well as subs and consultants.
  11. Other duties and projects as assigned.

What we need:

  • Must be eligible to access export controlled (ITAR) equipment and data.  To confirm to U.S. Government export regulations, the applicant must be U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent number of years of experience.
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a contracting office for a private governement contractor.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS. 
  • Degree in government contracting, law, managment, finance or accounting
  • Government contract experience
