Product Owner


Nimbis Services, Inc. develops and provides cloud services to the Department of Defense (DoD) for the advancement of critical information infrastructure.  Nimbis Services has demonstrated a successful development and transition path for cloud services, supporting the DoD’s mission in manufacturing and in microelectronics research and development (R&D).  The Trusted Silicon Stratus (TSS) was conceived and developed by Nimbis Services into the first secure cloud ecosystem for DoD microelectronics R&D. 

Nimbis Services, Inc. is looking to hire a Product Owner to join our Product team in Columbus, OH. The Product Owner is primarily responsible for the technical direction of projects and task orders with regards to TSS and other programs. This position will internally manage the projects’ technical goals and milestones. Will also lead program review meetings and present as need to external customers. The Product Owner will transfer the technical specification to the project team, composed of an associate project manager (APM) and development-security-operations (DevSecOps) lead. 

Reports directly to the Director of Product for the purpose of managing the quality, customer satisfaction, product identification, and technical transfer.  Responsible for closely coordinating with internal functions at Nimbis Services that provide contract management, budgeting, business development, product development, DevSecOps, and information assurance.  Requires a balance between technical development, internal project coordination, and customer interface.  

The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, relationship building and technical skills, with the ability to collaborate within our internal teams. This position will also require 25% travel when it is safe to travel after the COVID pandemic. 



US Citizen Status is required for this position with the potential to obtain a security clearance in the future.


What You'll Do

  • Manages the direction and implementation of technical objectives related to cloud development using the TSS cloud service.
  • Serves as a project liaison with business development, contracting, accounting and finance, product, and DevSecOps organizations at Nimbis Services.
  • Develops cloud technologies on the TSS cloud service.
  • Works with internal teams, Product Director, and other management staff to identify, coordinate and onboard R&D performers.
  • Responsible for leading internal technical reviews.
  • Responsible for technical reports and presentations.
  • Supports proposal concept development and authorship of proposals.
  • Coordinates staffing, timeline, and resources for projects.
  • Collaborates with associate project manager to track a project per schedule and budget, and against phase review objectives.
  • Reports project status to supervisor on a regular basis and executive staff on an as needed basis.
  • Develops and implements recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
  • Coordinates with customers, vendors, and contractors to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.
  • Supports resource planning and schedule for project/program implementation.
  • Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Efficiently identifies and solves project issues.

What we need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent years of experience.

  • 4 years’ experience working with cloud architecture and/or DevSecOps

  • Experience with technology project coordination and customer liaison experience.
