Technical Specialist


Nimbis Services, Inc. is continuing to grow, and we are looking for a Technical Specialist to join our Product team in Columbus, Ohio.  The Technical Specialist is a part of our cloud platform team that supports our customers with an exciting portfolio of emerging secure cloud-based value-added services.  This team is the primary technical implementation, architecture and R&D effort within our Product team. The Technical Specialist will act as primary interface to Nimbis’ customers to provide real time problem analysis and resolutions. This entail focusing on optimizing interactive virtual desktop performance sessions, 3D performance and windows. This position will be our technical “utility infielder” who will implement technical infrastructure needs to support customers and programs as needed.  The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, relationship building and technical skills, with the ability to collaborate within our internal teams.

US Citizen Status is required for this position with potential clearance in the future.


What you'll do:


  • Optimize interactive virtual desktop performance sessions, 3D performance and windows.
  • Implement technical infrastructure needs to support customers and programs as needed.
  • Participate in response teams for root cause analysis of system problems identified in the deployment of company solutions.
  • Uses discretion to effect timely solution of problems in order to ensure customer satisfaction, eliminate downtime and prevent cost overruns.
  • Front line IT systems support for engineering and technical applications.
  • Ensure computer security compliance in engineering workflows.
  • Collaborates with DevOps team in support of technical problems and product development.
  • Proactively follow through on all technical issues worked to ensure items are addressed accurately and promptly.
  • Some individuals may be responsible for direct interaction with customers to provide services and assist with technical issues.

What we need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent number of years’ experience.
  • 2 plus years of concentrated experience in computer technology and software computer services.
  • Experience with Linux client-side and server-side technologies for modern MVC web development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Django, Python, and REST).
  • Linux/Windows administration skills.
  • Thorough knowledge business/technical support systems.

What we would like to have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field

  • Security + Certifications or other Information Security Certifications

  • Cloud Certifications
